Dear SONUBTHA Members,

Interested and qualified members are invited and encouraged to apply for the Executive positions that are open. Your intensions should be communicated in writing/email to the Secretary Omorodion Okpeseyi at okpes4me@yahoo.co.uk by July 1st, 2027. Candidates are expected to be in attendance at the SONUBTHA Convention in California to pitch/campaign for the position. The positions are:

President

Vice President

General Secretary

Assistant General Secretary

PRO

Treasurer

Financial Secretary

Relevant constitutional provisions are indicated below to help guide potential candidates:

Section 3:      

To become a voting member, a nurse who graduated from School of Nursing, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, shall pay annual membership dues on or before the date prescribed by the Executive Board. 

Section 2: To qualify for the Executive Board, a member must be a voting member as defined in Article 3, section 3 of these Bylaws (see above).

Section 3: Beginning on January 1 of the fourth calendar year after the date of the initial incorporation of the Organization, the office of the President must be filled by a member who has been a voting member for at least three years preceding the date of the election.

Section 4: Beginning on January 1 of the fourth calendar year after the date of the initial incorporation of the Organization, other offices must be filled by members who have been voting members for at least two years preceding the date of the election.
