Mrs. Mabel Okungbowa, first President of SONUBTHA International USA Chapter 2008-2010. She was recognized at the 2013 national convention New York for her outstanding work and dedication
The 2013 Scholarship Award was presented on November 7, 2013 by the immediate past President Mr. Mitarho Akpoyoware in UBTH. The scholarship was awarded to Ms. Judith Abiahu who scored the overall highest grade in the Hospital Finals. This event was witnessed by the nursing students, faculty, and the Hospital Management. They were very grateful and thankful to SONUBTHA
Dr. Oghenesume Umugbe, was the founder and first President of SONUBTHA in the 1980's in Nigeria. During the 2013 4th National Convention in New York, USA, he was recognized for his continuous dedication to this charitable organization and the nursing profession
Ms. Obehi Ojiemudia was admitted into the School of Nursing, University of Benin Teaching Hospital in the year 2006 as part of the 65th intake group, and she completed her training in November 2009. Her academic record shows that she has been a “Distinction Candidate” throughout her period of training.
This is evident in her continuous assessment and Hospital Final Examination results. In the Nursing and Midwifery Council Qualifying examination, her performance was outstanding, with credits in "Paper One" and practicals/vivals.
The Outstanding Performance Award by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria was as a result of her very good scores and she was therefore acknowledged. This award from the Nursing Council of Nigeria is the first of its kind in the history of the School of Nursing, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
We are very proud of Ms. Obehi Ojiemudia for her academic achievements and as a graduate from this school.
